When planning colors, you don’t want to go matchy-matchy. (Remember all of those photos in the 90s with people wearing white shirts and jeans? Yeah, that’s what we don’t want.) Instead, think about the color wheel and pick outfits that compliment each other.
Choose One Person to Style First
Style one person in the family first (I usually suggest Mom), and then build around that one person. I’ve found that this is the best way to not add too many overwhelming patterns, use pieces you already have, and also make sure colors coordinate.
