Amanda & Jon's Alaska Zoo Wedding

There are always moments that stand out for me and sort of define a wedding session. It could be the amazing setting, or heartfelt vows, or even the hilarious dancing at the reception. But for Amanda and Jon it was something so simple, yet it felt monumental… it was simply the way they look at each other.

I first noticed this when I had them tromping around in the snow for their engagement photos. Amanda has this habit of running her hands through Jon’s hair, and Jon just sort of melts into her. You only have to spend mere moments with them to realize that they have truly found their person.

I usually suggest that couples do some photos before the ceremony for timing sake, but with Amanda and Jon it actually made sense to hold off until after the wedding. After all, I think they even knew it would be all about that look. Jon seeing Amanda for the first time as she was walking down the aisle was perfection.

Their day was absolutely wonderful and fun-- and how many weddings have tigers?!.  I’ve been so blessed to work with such great couples so far in my career—couples that won’t let a little rain (or a ridiculously late wedding cake!) ruin their day.

It's a good sign when your wedding guests are this excited about your union!

See what I mean?! He can't even take his eyes off of her during this moment of prayer. I love this image.

Gotta love dancing bridesmaids who multi-task while taking down decorations.

Congratulations you two!
